Myanmar government should give citizenship to the immigration.

When I survey Kantkaw students whether Myanmar government should give citizenship to the immigrants, as the result, most of students answer “should not”. Like wise, most of Myanmar people can not accept this case/issue. Most of reasons are the beliefs that it will cause social, religious and culture conflicts or mixed culture.  However if we think thoroughly this case, we can see a lot of facts Myanmar government should give.  In fact of, Myanmar people include all ethnics minorities are the generation of immigration. Other way we can define as all of us are connected with immigration. Thus Myanmar government should give citizenship to them

Now I would like to discuss a bout that they are given citizenship

.

Migration is human nature and it will be happen till the end of the world. Whatever government can never ban this process and it’s impossible to be ignoring in this case. Actually, there is no nationality which didn’t come from migration. According to Myanmar History, Chin and Kachin came from Tibetan,  Kaya came from China, Kayin  came from  Mongolia and, they settled here to survive and leave their country or land and, most of Myanmar citizens are also the generation of immigration. So if immigrations are not given by the Myanmar government, it is injustices.

Immigrations can not bring social and religious conflicts. Most of people think it support to cause social and religious conflicts in the future. The root of that problem is not the generation of immigration, but this is the bad policy concerned with migration of the local government. It may be the government’s ignorance in this case, so later or in next generations, the government had to face a lot of problems. Actually the government needs to make preparations in case of migration such as policy, their right and, they need in order to see in the future. If the government doesn’t give citizenship (may be banning), it is not good solution for them, because they can not totally stop it. The best solution for future is that the government has to give citizenship to them and makes law related with migration.

It is human right and also humanity. As democratic country, immigration should be given citizenship because the concept of democracy based on humanity and human right. It seems respecting and keeping human right and humanity. If in a country, there are a lot of free places to live people and, but a few free places in another country, it can not be fair, because in another country, many people face many problem to live concerned with places, they need new places, but if they are refused  for new places, it is injustice. For example, Hitler announced to the American that the war, his message is related with population problem; American possess a lot of free lands, but the population was not high. However In Germany, the population rate is too high, the land was not enough to live freely .Thus Hitler said that it was not fair.

Now I would like to argue that the proposal of culture conflicts. I think that most of people falsely understand that the concept of culture. Culture can be divided into two kinds and they are Civilization and Tradition. What is Civilization? Civilization means the culture that always change depend on mainstream. How a bout Tradition? Tradition means the culture that can not change because of mainstream. So we need to understand clearly in this concept. Our civilization will change or (mixed with other culture) because of migration. And we have to build Integration; this means we have to attempt in order to combine different culture from different migration. Actually culture is the things that must be changed regularly based on mainstream. For example, after World War II, economics growth was fastest in Japan. In that case, Japan made changes concerned with culture.

The other point is the immigration is like the raw materials in implementing a project to develop a country. It means that there are a lot of different technician and expert from different field. So the interest is that the local government will get a lot of technology and ideas from them and, thus they help to develop a country.

In conclusion, Myanmar Citizenship Law which was made in 1982 is the only people who settled before 1823 was recognized or confirmed as citizenship. Actually the target of this law intend to the people who came after Myanmar was occupied by British. Concerned with this case, Dr. Min

Zaw Oo stated in the Voice Weekly Journal “1982 citizenship law is not match with the present Myanmar political reforms. Especially we have to delete the fact that have to settle before 1823 and, this can not be practical reform. Myanmar’s Democracy way may falsely run in the future.” Since it matches with the democracy concept and system, and we keep the humanity and the human right, and concerned with culture, we have to accept the Integration. We can say that the practical action is that Myanmar government

which is running to the democracy should give the citizenship to the immigration.

KACHIN may be the only hope for the whole ethnic in Myanmar political aspect in the future.

I think that at this moment, the main reason of government pay attention to the case of ethnic is caz of Kachin affair. So like Chin Aphogyi said, this will be able to be the only sure hope of the whole ethnic, if they lose, the ethnic case may disappear in the aspect of Myanmar politics.

Moreover, the situation is like US also don't force too much to the government.
One bad thing is we didn't know how about the situation of the relationship between Myanmar, and US and China. It is not sure how will US act and, US also have the most powerful in UN's aspect.

But, Myanmar government can play the US,China and Myanmar Game, if the condition will go on like this, even Myanmar government was wrong, they will be able to win in internal court.

Another thing is who support military aid to government, and who provide weapon to KIA, this is very important we need to know. Other wise, Weapon Traders may involve in this case...(in the middle east and most of war ground in Africa, weapon traders create war for their profit) Kachin issue can be like that, it's very difficult to solve like this case, because even the member of government involve secretly for State interest.

Actually, there are many secret thing that weapon traders make not to stop civil war. But in media, sometime, those case was mentioned like politics issue. Nevertheless, beyond war, those traders hold the string. This is not just federalization, but also their own profit or interest.

But this is we just think, whatever it is.. Like China Aphogyi ..

the war is threatening only Kachin peoples, but also the entirely ethnic groups in the country. This is the last fortress for the whole ethnic.

Why the production and sale of cigarettes should be legal.

The World Health Organization states that about 2 billions smokers around the world including child smokers. Smoking is the leading cause of many different health issues such as cancers, heart and lung disease within our society. Public health policies are attempting to producing and selling cigarette. However, these people tend to ignore that the positive outcome of cigarette business bring to the society. They also falsely believe that prohibition and selling cigarette will lead people to adopt a healthier living environment. Because they do not think about the consequence; the potential effects of a full-scale ban, but even existing regulation an economic threat.

Firstly, I want to state some advantage of being legal. The government the world receive huge amount of taxes from cigarettes companies. This provides fund which are used for building infrastructure like schools, hospitals and other public amenities. Moreover, this money was used to help fund the welfare program. Many INGO and Ngo also receive a lot of money their social welfare program. Thus a lot of people have got the benefit of it.

Now I would like to express the consequence. I already have mentioned above that the governments receive big profits from levying taxes on cigarettes or tobacco companies. If the production and sale of cigarettes is illegal, the government will lose a huge income of the government and, this will affect the government welfare program. A further point is INGO and

NGO that are supported by tobacco business will face the problem of fund for their social welfare projects. The effect is the people who are in their project will face a thousand of problems.

The cigarettes business is one of the most profitable businesses in the world. So the next point is there are a million of people who work in the cigarette companies and industries, and there also are over tens of thousands tobacco farmer throughout the world, particularly in poorer countries like Zimbabwe or India. Now, I believe that you understand that it creates many jobs for these people. If it is a full-scale ban, those who work in cigarette will lose their jobs. There will appear a lot of unemployment’s problem and rate of unemployment will increase. Is there the better ways for solve a million of unemployment?

 The last point, being illegal, is impossible in particularly. Many smokers know that if they smokers know that if they smoke too many cigarettes, we get many health problems. However, they still choose smoke without worrying about their future health. So even if it is illegal, they will try to get with many ways. As a result, there will e smuggling cigarette and the government will need to stop this selling and smoking illegal, and will have to spend a lot of money for this project.

In conclusion, generally, if it is illegal, the income of government will decrease because of losing taxes. The social welfare projects of INGO and NGO that were support by tobacco companies will stop and the local people will face many problems. Can those who stand in illegal solve completely this problem and provide them to survive? In addition, millions of employment will be unemployment. Who will find job for millions of unemployment?
